Is that there is a lot of white folks isolated from this reality, so, their first instinct is to suggest they ignore the blatant racism they are constantly forced to experience.

It's easy to say, "don't respond to hate with hate" when you don't have to face that hate every single day.

You're just seeing people fed up with stuff that they were forced to accept FOR DECADES. It's without fail, whenever there is a video of some racist person being told off, that a DUer will comment about how their response was equally bad.

It's another aspect of white privilege.

Sitting there and judging someone for finally blowing up to the racism they experience every day - and doing it from a life experience so removed from theirs that they can't seem to comprehend the anger of it. And why? Because as a white person, they're not experiencing it. Ever.

Why would it be okay for someone to think that being over 80 is a reason to make racists comments? What it tells the rest of us, is that your time and your era is over. It continues on in this vein, with him talking over her in a forceful but righteous (and creatively insulting) way, as she says things like, "Relax," and so on, then offering that "I'm 80 years old," as if that's a defense, and he tells her to act like she's 80-something years old.

It's a pleasure to watch because he doesn't quit.
