Buttigieg on Trump asking Xi for re-election help: Hard to express how breathtakingly bad this is

Tweet from Pete Buttigieg about ten minutes ago, commenting on Washington Post story about Bolton's book:

It is hard to think of a way to express how breathtakingly bad this is. How unbelievably bad for America - and how indefensible for any GOP elected official to continue protecting this.

He says he told Barr. That went nowhere, obviously.

We know testimony would have changed nothing.

Maybe this will help, being closer to the election and keeping up the drumbeat.

Just hoping, that’s all. I’m a cockeyed optimist.

He had a choice—personal profit or selfless patriotism. Like Trump and 99% of Republicans, he chose to enrich himself and tell America to “fuck off”.

This is the key attribute of a leader, someone who will sacrifice themself for the greater good, sometimes giving up wealth and fame for the satisfaction of serving others and being successful—the opposite of Trumpism.

The “run government like a business” is a fatally flawed concept. It can never work.

look at how they swung to Trump after all did not get on board with him the beginning? They are also involved. It is the only thing that makes any sense in their attitude. It is time for the Dems to tie them in with them. Maybe these like Pete will speak out, especially Kamala and Elizabeth and Nancy and Schiff. I want them to put Bill Barr in with him too because he also knew. They are all involved in the plot, which is why it was set up so they would not have a trail in the Senate.Take them all down. This may be what Rick Wilson was talking about. They are probably making phone calls and midnight runs to get their story right with their dear leader while he is breaking windows and taking the cure aka bleach.

But I have seen this is the one that is going to do him in for over 3 years, the only thing that will do that is getting out the vote. The drooling knuckle dragging will show up at the polls. His enablers will continue to cover for him, it is up to the majority of the population to run his ass out on a rail.

No amount of proof that he is a grifting a**hole matters to his base.

Bolton could have and should have said all this under oath to the Senate during Trump's impeachment. If he had spilled the beans then, that info would no longer be classified and he would not be getting sued by Trump right now to stop his book.
