Bruce Springsteen Blasts Donald Trump's COVID-19 Response: 'Put on a F--king Mask'

Bruce Springsteen Blasts Donald Trump's COVID-19 Response: 'Put on a F--king Mask'
6/17/2020 by Anna Chan

The Boss is on fire. Bruce Springsteen kicked off the latest episode of his SiriusXM show "From My Home to Yours" with a scathing message for the country's leaders, and specifically, President Donald Trump.

The rock star began his Wednesday (June 17) show by telling listeners that he had originally planned a different program for the week as the country continues to see new cases of COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter protests around the nation. "But with 100,000-plus Americans dying over the last few months and the empty, shamed response from our leaders, I'm simply pissed off," Springsteen explained. "Those lives deserve better than just being inconvenient statistics for our president's re-election efforts. It's a national disgrace."

But he wasn't done sharing why he was getting political instead of enjoying the summer with his latest show, noting that more thought needs to be given to the current health crisis. "We will be contemplating on our current circumstances with the coronavirus and the cost that it has drawn from our nation," Springsteen continued. "We will be calculating what we've lost, sending prayers for the deceased and the families they've left behind."

Springsteen then went on to address Trump directly. "I'm going to start out with sending one to the man sitting behind the Resolute Desk," he said before throwing to the first song. "With all respect, sir, show some consideration for your countrymen and your country. Put on a f--king mask."

He is followed by many a trumpets. I don’t know if he’s still doing it but it wasn’t uncommon for him to show up at Jersey shore bars. Was never one to buy his stuff but as a Jersey guy I always respect him. Here he plays with the Brian Kirk and the Jerks 20 years ago. I hope this link

That being said, Bruce's word are rather weak.

It's not just a national disgrace. It is over 100,000 lives lost, here on American soil, that could have been prevented by the actions of the leader of our government.

These are lives lost due to ineptitude and indifference (mostly indifference in my opinion).

This not just a disgrace. This is willful indifference to life.
