(36,833 posts)The spot from the Lincoln Project -- which the group says will air in Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona and Washington, DC -- comes the same day Trump's former national security adviser levied harsh claims against how the President has handled US-China relations during his first term in office.
"They know who Donald Trump is: weak, corrupt, ridiculed," a narrator in the ad says. "China beats him every time."

(783 posts)Notice the handshake...Chinas president has the "upper hand" on tRump...its a real thing, look it up...many leaders overtly try to gain the upper hand. Its a show of dominance over the other leader. Maybe someone can post a link to this practice in world politics...I dont have the time to look for it atm.

(783 posts)But I watched a whole program on it a few years back. Some of the videos they had was almost like watching the leaders thumb wrestle with their hands trying to get the top position. tRump probably isn't even aware of it. Would be interesting to see pics of handshakes of him with other leaders...especially Putin.

(14,526 posts)I found this:
Palm Up I am here to serve you. It can also indicate when first offered, submission or take charge.
Palm Down This is the authoritative position. You are in charge or in authority. You are there to take the lead, to take care of things, to get the job done. However it can also indicate a controlling personality.

(10,826 posts)The Lincoln Project is on a roll with these political ads popping them out at a furious pace. They're going for Trump's underbelly where the ego, the arrogance, the vulnerability resides.
Keep it up, I say. Every ad leaves a bruise, a mark of doubt.
And when it comes to Trump and his enablers? Every bruise is justified x 1000.
Never forget, never forgive.

(1,192 posts)I've seen them on DU, but never on TV. Showing them on Fox would be an excellent strategy because it would certainly get under Trump's think skin.

(3,321 posts)With the problems we face, every country in this world needs to work together. Pitting one country against another will not help in the long run. This is true for the tRump campaign. This is true for the The Lincoln Project.
And yeah, we had better find a way to work together. We are totally fucked if we don't.
