The Atlanta cop murder...

Did anyone watch the somewhat long video when the person was given a sobriety test?

If the video was time correct it appeared to take a lot longer than I would think a sobriety test would take. And it appeared the cop was waiting for the person to slip up.

The guy WAS drunk for sure but the cop was being completely ridiculous during the tests for sure. They could have given him a ride home and issued a ticket or whatever the next day.

7. This killer cop was apparently given some award for having a certain amount of DUI arrests last year

Or some year, not sure which.

He wanted this to be an arrest.

He's a sickening son of a bitch. I hope that kicking video is shown at his trial.

I'm still annoyed he's not in jail right now.

4. Yep whatever the cop observes is evidence. Beyond the "expert", "have seen people drunk"

He actually made some snide little comments as well while he was walking.

Not sure what this has to do with anything, though.

8. Actually, I thought police were trying to give him every consideration. Usually waiting 40 minutes

before a Breathalyzer -- or subsequent blood alcohol test -- is to the suspected drinker's benefit. (Note: I'm assuming the breathalyzer was given right before starting to handcuff him. Hard to tell the way some of the videos are edited and spliced together.)

Now, what happened when he ran is another matter, and why one officer is justifiably charged with felony murder. And, dog knows, one can make a good case for running from two white policeman nowadays.

In the videos I saw previously, what happened immediately after the shooting was obscured by a car in front of the scene. If the police officer's did kick or put a foot on him, that's enough for me. I'm sure the defense would say that the victim was still moving and the officers merely restrained him until they had everything under control.

However, I don't think prosecution for the most serious charges will be as easy as Chauvin's knee on George Floyd's neck for almost 9 minutes.

11. Brosnan says Rolfe didn't tell him (Brosnan) that he was gonna arrest Brooks.

To me, that does not seem safe

Yes, after Brooks failed the breathalyzer, Rolfe attempted to cuff him, yet there was a long enough time lag to tell Brosnan that he was gonna arrest Brooks.

Brooks resisted arrest, stole a weapon, and tried to use that weapon against the cops.
It doesn’t get more justified than that.
