Something I haven't seen discussed here much; recent FL Polls.

I don't know what's happening in FL, or how much I trust the polling this far out, but the last few polls out of FL have been HEAVILY for Biden. Not just "close", or "on the cusp", but they show Biden walking away recently (from 538, most recent first):

Fla. JUN 12-14, 2020 C- Change Research Biden 50% Trump 43% Biden +7
Fla. JUN 9-11, 2020 A/B TIPP 875 LV Biden 51% Trump 40% Biden +11
Fla. JUN 9-11, 2020 A/B TIPP 910 RV Biden 50% Trump 40% Biden +10
Fla. MAY 18-30, 2020 A/B Cygnal 881 LV Biden 47% Trump 44% Biden +3

Of course, that most recent one is only C- rated by 538 (and I don't see a sample size associated with it), but they're right in line with the A/B rated TIPP & Cyngal. And seeing Biden at or over 50% is REALLY bad news for Trump; he'd have to actively WIN those back FROM Biden's side.

Is something going on with Florida? The reality is that if Biden wins FL, it's a BLOWOUT night for the Good Guys. Again, I don't know how much I believe it (and of COURSE, we can't let it get us complacent), but it sure as hell feels like really good news right news, and I could use some really good news. #GOTV

They don’t always steal Florida. Democrats have won the last 2 out of three.

And will win this year as well.

2. We're approaching the formation, it appears,

of a national act of will.

If true, we won’t have to convince ourselves to stay focused. It becomes organic. It’s when playing the margins becomes irrelevant.

I’ve been fairly dark in some of my previous assessments.
I harp on fascism, lawlessness, corporate dominance, etc.
Those are easy pickins that inevitably lead to visions of chaos and devolution.

But there’s also THIS. Sometimes a national will forms. Sometimes the worm DOES turn. Sometimes a nation CAN assert an agenda.

Keep your ear to the ground. You might be hearing some rumblings.

4. Its the unemployment

I post in some unemployment facebook pages. The system here is a disaster. The Gov is blaming it on the people not on the broken system. TONS, thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands are finished with Repubs in this state and i am talking people who voted for Trump who now say they will never vote Republican again. The tide has turned here. Biden will win Florida unless there is MAJOR shady stuff

but I had some hidden reserves that kicked in when my wife started dealing with the DEO.

Do not count out MAJOR shady stuff though.

system Scott stuck us with has made many turn on Repubs. Add to that the Repubs wanting the old to die for the economy isn’t a great way to win one of the biggest retirement states in the country.

you would think their treatment of the elderly would be a bit more...um...thoughtful.

As a senior citizen myself I can't imagine voting Repub, but I understand that many seniors who are well off might lean that way. Most wealthy folks do lean Repub for tax reasons. I understand that, but the bungling of the CV crisis has showcased what Repubs in general and Trump in particular really think of them.

7. Florida is a so-called purple state more or less, but the Republican party here is as rotten as any

truly red state. When a state keeps electing the likes of Rick Scott, Marco Rubio, Matt Gaetz, et al, while still being the minority population, then the polls don't mean crap to me. They change nothing. I truly believe, as do many, that if Biden wins Florida then it's over. But I will believe it when I see it.

If Biden wins compared to Obama’s win in 2012.

The republicans have jumped the shark in Florida. We are a purple state being run by the type of politicians you find in Alabama.

Although even they have not gone after Abortion or open carry. Oh, every year some loon from the boondocks introduces it but it never goes anywhere.

The turning point has been the unemployment system and the horrible response to the virus. We are now having our highest levels of infection yet.

system debacle will have. Would love to see Rick Scott eventually have to own it but I doubt that will happen.

11. These Are Good Numbers Out of FL But I'm Happy Biden Isn't Dependent on FL to Win
Wed Jun 17, 2020, 09:13 PM

Given the ballot glitches and other problems we always seem to encounters in FL it's good he has quite a few paths to 270 ECVs without Florida. MI is definitely out of reach for Trump but that shouldn't surprise anyone given Biden's connection to the state because of him leading the auto bail out.

night November 3rd, which I'd love. Trump can't win without it (without a lot of other weird shit happening), but Biden certainly can. Hope it holds! Winning Florida big would certainly mean MASSIVE coattails nationwide for Dems.
