Just saw this bullshit online - fundraiser for Officer Garrett Rolfe

The "Georgia Law Enforcement Organization" is claiming that:

"Officer Rolfe was involved in the justified shooting of Rayshard Brooks on June 12th, 2020. The videos clearly show that the shooting was justified; however, the District Attorney Paul Howard, who is losing his election, has chosen to charge Officer Rolfe with 11 charges including Felony Murder, and it is 100% for political gain. The DA is losing his election, and he is also under investigation himself for stealing $185,000 in tax money, and transferring it directly into his personal account.

This fundraiser is designed to help Officer Rolfe and his family to pay for legal services and general necessities."

I've never heard of this group before, and I lived in Georgia for over 20 years. Supposedly they were founded in 2018. I have to wonder if they're simply taking advantage of this situation and are pocketing whatever money they happen to raise. Anyone else have any insight into this group?

(I'm purposely not including a link to their website, they should be pretty easy to look up if you're interested in researching them).

much less than a trial lawyer! I don'/t know the group but it looks like a LE agency for the police dept. I'm sure that's one way to raise the $$$ he'll need for representation.

assuming they were ever charged or sued as a result of an on-duty incident. It was like $20 a month.
