Bolton’s Book Is ‘Tedious and Slightly Unhinged’

"SNIP....

The New York Times has already reviewed John Bolton’s book, The Room Where It Happened:

“Known as a fastidious note taker, Bolton has filled this book’s nearly 500 pages with minute and often extraneous details, including the time and length of routine meetings and even, at one point, a nap. Underneath it all courses a festering obsession with his enemies, both abroad (Iran, North Korea) and at home (the media, ‘the High-Minded,’ the former defense secretary Jim Mattis). The book is bloated with self-importance, even though what it mostly recounts is Bolton not being able to accomplish very much. It toggles between two discordant registers: exceedingly tedious and slightly unhinged.”

Another malignant narcissist, but this one is smart enough to write his own book, poorly I guess. Thomas Hurt Jun 2020 #1
He's a crappy writer who's totally full of himself. But he's a good note-taker The Velveteen Ocelot Jun 2020 #2
Sounds interesting to me. I'm looking forward to reading it. Owl Jun 2020 #3

I'll pass, just the sight of Bolton makes my stomach churn 🤢 🤮 nt Raine Jun 2020 #8
As if I'd pay to read it. The press reading it is more than enough for me now. herding cats Jun 2020 #9
Bolton is rotten. Trump is rotten. hunter Jun 2020 #10
So the book is a reflection of Bolton himself. Just the sight of him makes me bilious. NBachers Jun 2020 #11
It doesn't really matter. The fact that it's release is making Trump soil his diapers and smirkymonkey Jun 2020 #12

beyond that, who cares to read something you just know will be turgid. Better to let someone get paid to read it, then report on what they read in a far more entertaining fashion. The stories will still get out there, but that abscessed ass pustule Boldon won't get any of my money.

Beyond that, I don't expect it to ever be before my eyes. Even if it were free.

He has his moment to be a decent citizen and declined to in pursuit of profits and his own narcissism.

There's no way in hell I'll wade through that rot.

Is this book going to stop any Trump cultist from voting for Trump?

I doubt it.

They don't read books, Trump doesn't read books.

inducing other republicans into a mild coronary is satisfying enough for me. It could be the most poorly written book in the world, but as long as there are a few tidbits in there that have them tearing their hair out, I applaud the effort.

Bolton is a loser, but for right now, he is a major thorn in their side and I'm not going to pile on while they are all blowing a gasket. Somebody is bound to make a major mis-step.
