So the police are acting like babies because they are finally being held accountable. I say the mayor should fire everyone who walks out. They don’t need to be police anyway....find people who can actually do the job.

4. I once worked for a company

that advertised itself as "management intensive". People would come from the office down to the ship and announce some new method, doctrine or modulus for doing things. There would be great wailing and gnashing of teeth about the evil "Change" (the corporate version of the "C" word) that was about to be wrought upon us.

At one point I discovered the Sloan Management Review from MIT and became an ardent reader. I quickly found myself with a 3-4 month early warning of what the company was up to.

I suspect there are publications out there that would help the interested Police be more effective at their jobs in a positive way. And those who need that the most are the least likely to embrace it, because that's how things work.
