This whole administration is like a Ritz mock apple pie

Those of you who are old enough to remember, the recipe was on the back of the Ritz box. We made one one time as a joke for dessert party, and let me tell you it was the most disgusting thing I have ever made that I’ve eaten.

This whole administration is just repulsive in a visceral way. It’s phony and creepy and disgusting; Everything about it is antithetical to humanity and civilization as it has evolved. It is a deliberately conceived bizarro world of antisocial, hate-filled, utterly disgusting individuals, any one of whom would be the most-hated individual in the organization.

Here: for those who care enough to serve the very best:

INGREDIENTS
FILLING
2 c. water
2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. cream of tartar
35 RITZ Crackers
1 ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. cinnamon

TOPPING
1 c. crushed RITZ Crackers
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 c. unsalted butter, melted

DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 400ºF.
Make filling: Mix water, granulated sugar and cream of tartar in large saucepan. Bring to boil on medium-high heat. Add crackers; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.
Line 9-inch pie plate with crust as directed on package; fill with cracker mixture. Sprinkle with lemon juice and cinnamon.
Make topping: Combine all topping ingredients.
Bake 10 minutes at 400, reduce to 350 and cover edges of pie crust with foil. Bake 18-20 more minutes, or until pie filling has set. It shouldn't jiggle a lot when moved. Cool before serving.

That was the funniest movie I’ve ever seen in a theater.

A substitute, usually inferior, for a real thing, as in "this is an ersatz government"--not a real government, but a fake, intended to fill in for something that is not currently available.

There are more confirmed COVID 19 cases in an sterile empty room than confirmed trump ass-kissing cabinet “officials” ..

is a weapon. Consider steak. ... Trump practically is steak: at once rich and a symbol of a certain kind of wealth. But also, cunningly, a man of the people, who repeatedly gorges on fast food, practically lives on the stuff.

Hope you served plenty of drinks at that party . . . and an alternative to Ritz (gag) Cracker (gag) Pie.

I was always curious about it, wondering if anybody ever made it and what it would taste like. Thanks, PC, for taking one for the team.

I saw “The Groove Tube” when it came out in 1976. After smoking a joint in the car, me and my date almost wet the theater seats.

I was a senior in college in Rochester and we saw it in Pittsford Plaza: there were about ten of us in a full theater who couldn’t stop laughing. Many people were either so shocked they didn’t laugh or just plain didn’t get it.
