President Trump told the Wall Street Journal that coronavirus testing is “overrated” and claimed that some Americans may be wearing masks to signal disapproval of him — not as a preventative measure.

He added: “I personally think testing is overrated, even though I created the greatest testing machine in history.”

The president's comments were in response to being asked if he agreed that his rhetoric surrounding the coronavirus become more reserved on Monday.. Trump disagreed, saying that he always knew the outbreak was "serious."

I’m over 60 years old, I have an A blood-type, and I’d like to avoid contracting a COVID 19. Those are better reasons for wearing a mask than disapproval (And if it was mere disapproval, I’d go for a Guy Fawkes mask instead), but I’m willing to add disapproval of the incumbent to my reasons for wearing a mask.
