(1,184 posts)The polls have McGrath losing to McConnell by more than Booker does. Don't know if you live in Kentucky or not, but those of us here know she doesn't have the political instincts or enthusiasm to overcome a 20-point deficit. People tend to think McGrath is a rising star, but she's really not that popular here.

(30,613 posts)Democratic senatorial candidate Amy McGrath appears to have a very narrow lead over Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in Kentucky's race, according to a recent poll.
The polling, which was conducted by RMG Group, shows McGrath, a former Marine fighter pilot, with the support of 41 percent of voters, while McConnell is backed by 40 percent. However, the polling also showed that when voters are informed that McGrath supports congressional term limits while McConnell does not, her lead over the Republican jumps significantly.
With the candidates' positions on term limits factored in, McGrath was backed by 45 percent of respondents, while McConnell was supported by just 30 percent. But 17 percent of those surveyed were still undecided, and 8 percent said they'd vote for a different candidate.

(2,262 posts)This poll is there to make Moscow Mitch look good.
Polls by people with actual random sampling of likely voters have McGrath in a dead heat.
This opt in poll is not to be trusted and is trying to suppress support for McGrath who is getting a lot of love from people outside of Kentucky who want Moscow Mitch gone. [Full disclosure, I have donated to her campaign through ACT Blue twice, and I have never lived in Kentucky, but want Moscow Mitch out so bad I am supporting her]
Hopefully, folks like the Lincoln Project will choose to add Moscow Mitch to their other 4 Trump humping Senate targets.

(7,408 posts)KY was gonna be about 55-42 in favor of McConnell with McGrath as the opposing candidate, I would go about 57-40 with Booker.

(1,184 posts)It asks the specific questions about different candidate match-ups. The document also says it's been weighted to account for demographics so as to be representative.
