AZ man who did not take the virus seriously, now in the hospital warning others to take precautions

https://www.abc15.com/news/region-northeast-valley/scottsdale/valley-man-issues-warning-to-younger-generation-after-contracting-covid-19

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A Valley man says he didn't take COVID-19 seriously, hit the bars with a friend and is now in the hospital battling the virus.

Jimmy Flores, 30, told ABC15 he has been at Banner Baywood for three days after testing positive for coronavirus last week.

"Right before going to the hospital, I was dying in my room," he said. "Couldn't breathe."

He shared his story with the hope it resonates with other people his age.

"I did not take it seriously at all," Flores said. "Now that I have this, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy."

Flores told ABC15 he met up with a friend on Saturday, June 6. He said the two went to a bar in Old Town Scottsdale and then to another bar further north in the city. COVID-19 was not a concern.

Now her healthy 42 year old daughter is battling it. 9 days in ICU. It looks like she will survive, but it's another big lesson learned.

THIS AIN'T THE FLU!

permanent damage to lungs etc.

There was that report recently of a man who received his hospital bill after weeks in the ICU. It was $1,100,000!! Fortunately he is on Medicare and a Supplemental Plan, but he may still have some co pays.

So, is it a concern now? And WHY does it have to come to this before people like him take it seriously? Anyone who thinks the virus was made up by the "libbrul" press needs to visit a clinic that treats severe cases. Did he think Donald Trump would show up, shake his hand, and make him feel better?
