I did not see the picture because Adblock doesn't allow images from pbs.twimg.com to appear for me. I don't know why. I can't find the rule to eliminate it, and no amount of whitelisting fixes it. It's very annoying.

Having finally realized there was an image being seriously discussed, a View Page Source allowed me to click directly on the link to see it.

It's a scathing indictment of bigoted self interest and selfishness. It highlights the unfortunate attitude of far too many people in this country. It's the crowd that always has a reason for turning blame onto those less fortunate. That way they don't have to care, and they get a bonus pretending it's okay to look down on others as less than, as deserving scorn or deserving their fate when things go wrong. They can relinquish any sense of societal responsibility and dismiss any uncomfortable thoughts by throwing them into the, 'well, what did they expect?' box.

It's ugly and we, as a whole, can do better. How can people who hold these opinions be persuaded to change their outlook? I don't know that it's possible, but maybe begin by changing the narrative and changing societal outlook by turning the shame back onto the blaring media that has spread this type of hate. Something has to be done about FOX News. That would be a good start.
