Good luck with that, unless "quarantine" is literal, such as taken into custody. no_hypocrisy Jun 2020 #3

and between states. Crazy and sad. I don't blame him.
No other "state" country has worse numbers than we, so who would want to come here?

When you take a taxi etc from airport? And then check into a hotel for two weeks, exposing the staff?

I know a 85 yo man who was caught in Florida since March and returned to NJ Memorial Day week-end. He too was told to quarantine for 14 days.

He didn't. He got a check-up at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and got a clean bill of health, so in his mind, no virus.

But he didn't think about contracting the virus ON THE PLANE back to Newark. And so, he moved back with his wife. I told her to live somewhere else if this guy wasn't going to quarantine. But she didn't. And he refused to stay in their home. They ran errands and visited people.

I don't know if they're all right. But my point is that it was explained to him to quarantine and he did just the opposite.

So, good intentions aside, I'd like to know how Andrew Cuomo intends to compel people to quarantine from infectious states. I wish he could, but I don't think he can.

Maine and Hawaii has mandatory quarantine rules. It would be hard to enforce if the person was driving to a private residence. Hawaii has had some high-profile enforcement of quarantine rule for persons staying in hotels.
