Pelosi announces previous Speakers (served in the Confederacy) portraits removed

Ahead of tomorrow’s #Juneteenth observances, the portraits of four previous Speakers who served in the Confederacy have been removed from the walls of the U.S. Capitol under the supervision of House Clerk Cheryl Johnson.

I don't know why men are so interested in placing statues of men around the country. It often seems to me like territorial thing-such as dogs leaving their scent.

But in the interest of democracy and equality I think it time to equalize Statuary Hall--the huge statue collection in the Capitol Building just south of the Rotunda.
