13. The dreaded meet-up with my "I'm really not a racist" family yesterday:

"I'm the voice of reason here! You can't smash things and expect people to listen to you." "The cops treat everyone badly and only 12 black people were killed by the cops this year. 22 white people were killed by cops." "Most black people are killed by other black people." And the ever popular "I don't see color!"

Of course me talking about racism is racist. Yup. Grew up in the same house with the same taught values. But for some reason, living in the South over the past 30 years is enough to do this to someone with whom I am really close as long as we don't talk about this issue.

Yesterday I went into one of these tweet videos on another site and able to get into them fine. It seems like it is the site causing the issue maybe, and not twitter.

18. Have you tried going directly to the Twitter page to watch?

Just click or tap the little blue birdie in the upper right-had corner and it should open a new Twitter page with that content.

I have to do that with all Twitter videos on DU, I think because Firefox browser's security blocks loading that type of remote content.

19. I have and do, but what I found the last couple days even when I do that it just keeps uploading

and never plays. It has become bothersome, but I am pretty good letting things go. It is what it is. Thanks.

20. That sounds like your browser cache memory is full. Try clearing it.

If you are using Firefox, go to Tools/Options/Privacy & Security/Cookies and Site Data, then "Clear Data".

When mine loads up over 1-Gb, videos load very slow or won't load at all. I try to clear it periodically.

I believe for most browsers and devices, when you close the browser app or restart the device, it clears the memory and then should work fine.

Smart phones and tablets may work similarly but I'm not knowledgeable on those.

22. LizBeth, if you are using Firefox.....

be careful to NOT clear your "Cookies and Site Data" unless that part get really large. If you don't clear that check box, it will clear all your web site log-ins. Not a big deal except that when I do that, I have to look up my passwords to several sites to refresh the log-in.

To get your browser back up to speed with videos, you really only need to clear the part that says "Cached Web Content".

If you don't want to fool with all that, just click on the box labeled "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" and just restart Firefox from time-to-time.

23. I bought a computer not long ago and have no idea if I have Firefox. I have not installed anything.

I was going to go into data and clear history and ys, my codes will be lost but I always use the same one, lol. For everything.
