It's not as if this century's promises and actions didn't prove they meant it when they promised to replace liberalism and progressivism with conservative authoritarianism and all that goes with it.

(81,127 posts)A friend of mine voted for him because she somehow just couldnt vote for Hillary. Something I will NEVER be able to understand. I have questioned my friendship with her ever since. I have argued with myself about forgiveness ever since.
But its changed my opinion about her. Its left a mark. A vote for trump says things about the voter, and NONE of it is good.
Ive come to regard actions and statements through a new filter in the last few years: what does that say about you, if you ... (do/say/feel/think/respond/react)? And I find Im asking myself that about my own actions quite frequently. Its a gut check of sorts, I suppose. But it helps keep me on track, I think.
