The crazy MAGAts at Trump rallies often attend multiple rallies in more than one state

Tweet from WaPo's Philip Rucker:

A woman interviewed on Fox just now waiting outside the BOK Center in Tulsa said tomorrow’s event will be her 36th Trump rally and 19th state — her first in Oklahoma.

Comment on this from Joe Walsh, pointing out that Trump's "support isn’t as wide as advertised because many of the same people attend each rally":

When I challenged Trump in the GOP primary, I worked the line at his rally in Iowa. There were people from all over. His support isn’t as wide as advertised because many of the same people attend each rally. And NONE of the people in line believe Donald Trump has ever told a lie.

They may not be able to understand the concept, but in light of the high contagion and potential for exponential spread, (which is irrefutable) those are definitely vector fests they are participating in.

If I were a virus and my point was to spread quickly and easily, they would be my vehicles to get me around and that would be just great. Free ride to anywhere.

In both a religion and a cult, the people at the beginning know it’s bullshit. The difference is, with a religion, those persons are dead.

Trump Ian has to be one of the most successful Cults ever

Some folks collect pins or flags or spoons from each state. She isn't one of them though she might collect something she hadn't quite bargained for.

comes into play. Not exactly a profound statement because, well...duh. Of course it does.

The psychology of Trump groupies is a tiresome old tune. Pick almost any authoritarian leader of any group, be it political, religious, or various cults, and you get the idea.

'Course I say that knowing full well I'll keep reading paper after paper and book after book on the formation of groups and the psychology behind it.

It's an interest but sometimes it feels more like a burden. The difference being between something in the abstract and something physical and here in the now.

Trump fills a need or needs they have, as do the other people who support Trump. Even within the larger group of Trump supporters there are subgroups. One being the people who follow him from rally to rally. They all know each other and most likely describe themselves as the most loyal, the most faithful, and set themselves apart from the rest - even as they see the others as family, it is the difference between extended v. immediate family members.

OK. I'm stopping now.
