Maddow tweets: Who's in control of Berman's physical office space and files right now?

Tweeted late last night, two posts starting here, full text below:

Who’s in control of Berman’s physical office space and files right now?

This isn’t a small consideration.

Urgent questions for right now, tonight:

Who is securing the office;

Is anyone preserving Berman’s access to the office, and those of his deputies;

Are federal marshals on site? Is Berman locked out?

Whereas the spirit of anti-Trump is very alive and well, the much-longed-for fruit of the investigating SDNY is a tangible, sustaining that spirit. Any Trump success in tamping down this avenue is a serious turn of events. Are Berman's files in his possession or control? Can Barr's goons remove, distort, redact, censure and censor their contents? Critical stuff. Their data could prove irreplaceable should Trump win again and critical for retributive justice when he loses.

Anybody reporting on status of Berman’s access to the investigative files of the office? Have they been secured?

Also Barr's original plan was to "transfer" Berman to another Justice Dept. post. It seems like they thought they could force him to cooperate and hoped to avoid having to lock him out of his office at midnight which would have looked like the purge that it actually was rather than a reshuffling. That would imply Berman still controls his office for the moment, but now that Berman is refusing to leave Barr might have to explore a Plan B.

If Berman was locked out of his office this is going to get ugly for Barr and Trump. What did Berman turn up about Trump?

Let's also remember there are a lot more dedicated career people working at SDNY, will they also come forward?

on alert when they first began offering him other positions...maybe he got some of the most crucial information about tRump out of his office to where it would safe and see the light of day if something were to happen to him.

He didn't get to this position by being dumb. I'd hope he made provisions for this possible outcome.
