As has been noted, these fools are playing life-and-death games very carelessly and are likely to hurt innocent people.

(43,456 posts)I would have much preferred there had been some way to stop this stupidity but there wasn't. I accept that I should have at least added a sarcasm or heavy irony tag to that post.

(51,308 posts)Unfortunately, there are some here who seem to glory in the virus getting out there, and they seem not to care about the collateral damage.

(51,308 posts)I reacted too fast due to some of the stuff I've been reading here lately.
But watching this coverage is really mind-blowing. They seem completely unaware, uncaring, ignorant...I can't find a good word!

(25,111 posts)p.s. checking temperatures for thousands attending the rally will be totally chaotic and pretty much disastrous.

As the Algorithm for predicting the compounding effect says,6 doubles exponentially within time. If they have been in the area for the usual week to ten days doing setup, holy cow,new cases will be in the Hundreds.

(3,887 posts)And how many did they infect? (The number is not 0)

(31,261 posts)get a wrist band if ok, then be given a mask to wear inside the rally. Those are the same people that claim that wearing a mask violates their freedom.

(108,693 posts)I feel all this constant temperature checking in the long run isn't going to do anything. It's just security theater. Same thing with all this constant deep cleaning and scrubbing. It may do some in the short run but most likely really isn't going to help.
And knowing the way Trump supporters are handling the mask debate, those masks will either get thrown on the ground or stuffed into pockets.

(1,178 posts)if any of the attendees of tonight's rally become infected, are they going actually admit to it, and make their dear leader look bad? or do they take one for team Trump and keep quiet about it and possibly continue living in denial?

(302 posts)...they have already been there for a few days, at the arena, eating in local restaurants, staying in a local hotel, and coming in contact with god knows how many people. Not to mention, a flight across the country.
Windy City Charlie
(1,178 posts)Yet, there's not a peep about this on the Fox News facebook page, where most of the attendees get their news. So, most of them, probably have no clue about this.

(31,261 posts)And use hand sanitizer. They also will get their temperature checked, even before they are given a mask.
The whole affair is why Trump is so poorly suited to lead this country. His people KNOW that masks are important and insist they must be worn by anyone coming near Trump. But they steadfastly are refusing to strongly suggest that ALL Americans wear mask to stop the spread of the coronavirus. The stupidity and hyprocracy is breath-taking.

(31,261 posts)The article that I read seemed to have indicated that once they were past a certain point in the building, they had to have a mask on. I could have read the article wrong.

(18,486 posts)Then it's up to them.
The court refused allow the city health officials to impose restrictions.
These people don't even realize how, as usual, Trump is playing them for fools. By giving out masks, he's covering his butt. He can say the campaign did everything they could to protect the attendees - "Not OUR fault people didn't wear the masks ..."
So when they do as he does, not what he says and get sick, and they try to get his help, their hero's going to tell them to go pound sand.
