16. Since he was appointed as "interim" by Sessions

and appointed by the court toward the end of 120 days, it is doubtful Barr has the authority to fire him. This is going to be fought through the courts.

Big Dummy is going to have to dirty his own little hands if he wants Berman gone quickly instead of letting this grind through the courts for months. In that case, it is such a clear cut case of obstruction, few will want to defend him publicly.

I don't think Berman is in any mood to be faked out of his job by Barr. I do hope he's going to force them to try to persuade the court that appointed him (doubtful) or force Big Dummy into an impossible legal position.

My own question is "why now?" I've had the feeling for months that Berman was a good company man who was dragging this thing out already, trying to run out the clock.

He's not capable of thinking things through.

Saw a post in a related thread & it triggered a thought.

If he's still head of SDNY, he's justice department personnel.

He's supposed to testify to Congress this week.

If he's a JD employee, they could bar him from testifying absent a subpoena If he's fired, they can't.

Aren't they just lighting the match with arms covered in gas?

Meanwhile, as I emphasized in that thread, it has been one collapse after another. History means squat. Protocol means squat.

And continuing to November there will be one atrocity after another. This lowlife regime is hardly going to sit back and allow a run of the mill defeat.

15. He may have a little run-in with our courts on this one: Berman was appointed

by the district court, pursuant to federal statute, because Two Scoops was always too busy tweeting to nominate a US Attorney for SDNY

And under our system of government, the courts are a co-equal branch of government
