Pence refuses to say that "black lives matter", denies that racists exist

This interview with Mike Pence showed just how out of touch he and this administration still are with the concerns of black people in America.

CNN: Asked repeatedly to say 'Black lives matter,' Mike Pence says 'all lives matter'

Vice President Mike Pence declined to say the words "Black lives matter" during an interview with an ABC affiliate in Pennsylvania on Friday, instead saying that "all lives matter."

"Forgive me for pressing you on this, sir," anchor Brian Taff said to Pence, "but I will note you did not say those words, 'Black lives matter,' and there is an important distinction. People are saying, of course all lives matter, but to say the words is an acknowledgment that Black lives also matter at a time in this country when it appears that there's a segment of our society that doesn't agree. So why will you not say those words?"
"Well, I don't accept the fact, Brian, that there's a segment of American society that disagrees, in the preciousness and importance of every human life," Pence said.

President Trump has at least acknowledged that racists exist (though he calls them "very fine people&quot .
Pence would rather pretend that there is no one out there who feels black lives do not matter, while at the same time refusing to publicly say that black lives matter himself.

It could not be any clearer that he and Trump need to be kicked out of the White House after this election for there to be any chance of meaningful change.

That would certainly solidify his own hypocrisy.

For the duration of the 2016 election, Pence clung to a pro-police stance that aligned with the tough-on-crime platform he and Trump ran on — repeatedly casting his uncle, a career cop in Chicago, as a “hero” in stump speeches and applauding {Trump's} support of the “Blue Lives Matter” movement

"Oh, what? Black lives? I don't see color. You could be white for all I know. But I just don't see race. I think the real racists are the ones who see color."
