(37,163 posts)Think "boy bands" and their female equivalents for which I don't know the pithy name.
The Korean diaspora is big enough that they have plenty of fans outside South Korea, and not just Koreans or people of Korean heritage.
Plus, Donnie's love/hate relationship with North Korea repeatedly sends war clouds roiling over the peninsula, so there is some incentive for trolling the Howler Monkey.

(13,527 posts)(called "armys" ) want to get them trending, well then, BTS is TRENDING!!
BTS is composed of 7 young Korean men/boys, and they're all adorable and sweet and they talk about showing love to one another and the world and such like that - I think they're terrific role models, and if you ever even think about taking down their armys?? NO FKN WAY, MAN
Oh, and the group also dances and sings! (duh!) - And they also quietly donated $1M to BLM last week, but when their armys found out, they got BTS trending ALL day long!!
ALSO, there are many other kpop groups - "Blackpink" is an all-girl group, and they're doing very well these days -

Anyway, don't fuck with kpop armys, they will take you OUT!!!
