that has its own history of racism. Perhaps that is where the MAGA crowd went?

Many years ago, I had a cat I named Tillie. She and I were watching The Weather Channel, monitoring severe thunderstorms in Tornado Alley. The very animated meteorologist was trying to give blow-by-blow of everything all at once, when something in Tilly, AR caught his attention. He said ‘Tilly’ about 10 times in the space of a minute, prompting my Tillie to sit up, gaze toward the TV, and shoot a glance toward me. When the weather guy said, ‘yes, it’s Tilly!’, my Tillie bounded out of the room, probably wondering why the Bother Box was talking about her.

... or rather, you never know a cat's real name, which is all the cat really cares about.

But above and beyond there’s still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover—
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular name.
