(2,952 posts)... the more people thought to be attending, the less attractive the event.
Driving to an event to wait in the hot humid weather to try and see their Furor probably gets less and less appealing as you hear 800000 or 1000000 people are there competing to get in the building and to find parking (but not too close to the neighborhood where "those people" live).

We shouldn't be distracted from its import by the games these kids played. For sure the pros don't misunderstand and are busily trying to analyze and quantify all the reasons Trump loyalists stayed home.
Hopefully, the attention the "activists" on these websites are drawing includes some very good advice on how to really make a difference. They're clearly up for trying.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
