Even though I pay attention, there were a couple of references I didn't get. If you pay attention, the ad will have no impact (you're either on his side or against him)

And for people who don't pay attention, no more than one or two of the references will make any sense. Phrases, rather than sentences, unidentified people, references that aren't self-explanatory
