He reported for over an hour while citizen medics tended to the gunshot victims. In addition, Seattle Fire has released a statement.

There is an "official" CHOP twitter account set up by the Solidarity Committee in order to distinguish (in their words) between official and "unofficial and unsanctioned" communications, like those from Voices of CHOP. That helps explain why the members of the collective empowered in an official capacity are distancing themselves from the actions of CHOP citizens who exercise no official power.

According to Seattle Police, officers arrived on scene and attempted to find the victims but where met by a "violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims." ]CHOP responded by saying "No one within the CHOP denied entry to PD within any organizational capacity. Officers deciding on their own not to enter an area is not the same as being denied entry."

What a miserable death that poor 19 year old must have suffered. Sunday night's 17 year old shooting victim was much luckier.

Stacy said she is Anderson’s godmother, and told Q13 News she is “outraged, appalled and disgusted” over her godson’s death, and wants answers from the protesters occupying the streets around Cal Anderson Park and the East Precinct.

I’m trying to understand, why wouldn’t you let 911 medics in to help him,” said Stacy. “You all picked him up. He could’ve still been breathing. We don’t know that.”

Seattle Police said officers attempted to locate the shooting victims but were met by a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims. The SPD release goes on to further state that officers were later informed that the two shooting victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center by CHOP “medics”.

A 911 caller told police a man got out of a black SUV carrying a rifle before gunfire erupted, according to East Precinct radio updates reported by Capitol Hill Seattle.

UPDATE: A security employee working in the area reported the shooter had been in a black SUV that arrived in the area on E Pine. A 911 caller told police a man carried a rifle out of the SUV before gunfire erupted, according to East Precinct radio updates. The man who was killed was hit by multiple shots on the southwest corner of E Pine in front of the Odd Fellows building. Camp security was reported following the suspect after the shooting. There have been no reported arrests by police.

But I can’t figure out where it’s going to go. The shooting strikes me as the kind of thing that could happen anywhere, not really related to the place itself, but I’m not hearing ideas coming out of them and I fear the opportunists are coming in and perverting the cause.

Was your experience good? Do people seem to be working toward goals? I truly hope it doesn’t get lost in some disorganized shuffle and the real purpose never gets the respect it deserves.

But the people that actually live there? The business owners?

I know it won’t be agreed by many DU members but this needs to be shut down.

The man who died waited too long for help because the Paramedics would not attend unless the police secured the site of the shooting first. And can you blame them? And police are not allowed in.

And the story that some SUV somehow got thru the perimeter that keeps cops and others out? Like some white supremacy’s guys could just drive right through? Not buying that shit. If proved wrong I will happily admit it.

Americans don’t support this kind of bullshit. Nor do the vast majority of Democratic voters. Or even the majority liberal members of DU.

Some group of random Anarchist try to take over any of our neighborhoods we would all be pissed.

These people are not concerned about the Democratic Party. Which is what DU is all about

declaring a part of our country “autonomous” while using our water supply, internet services, electricity, etc., we would (rightly) mock them mercilessly. There is no consideration for the people who actually paid to live and work there and have to put up with this ridiculousness until these idiots return to their parents’ homes.
