Fireworks, yay or nay?

Since I did not differentiate between the two types of fireworks, I created two other posts.

Sorry for the confusion.

I already heard some tonight.

I received an ad in the mail for some fireworks outfit (it was a plasticized set of cards like you get from the grocery store). I have never seen anything like that before. Sigh.

For example, they're doing it right now, despite the off and on thunderstorms. If a tree catches fire and then our homes, who's responsible?

I do not like them in neighborhoods where idiots set them off in their yards or the streets all night, scaring dogs and generally being a nuisance and a fire hazard.

Lots of nerves here for no good reason. You have to be a responsible pyro who knows how dry it is and whether the wind is ok, and what you’re shooting off.

Don't like firework stand fireworks that the neighborhood idiots set off that just make noise and scare the crap out of my animals. I'll tolerate them on the 4th of July but when they set them off on April 25 for no damn reason I get pissed. Last year the dumbasses started a fire with their fireworks and the fire department had to be called.

I am at a point where I really hate noise. It's motorcycle season now, and the Harley brigades deliberately max out those decibels. I don't see many cars with those trunk speakers these days, but a couple of hundred watts of car stereo driving slowly to the 7-11 drives me nuts.

Anything beyond a sparkler for the general population is a concern.

My family had our home set on fire 3 separate times during 4th of July when I was small. Nothing serious, but I remember staying up and having to watch for embers landing on or near out home.

Due to an ear infection I had as a teenager I have a constant ringing/humming in my left ear, loud noises like fireworks make it worse.

There have been huge cannons going off every 10 minutes from a neighbors house tonight. Then some gun firing in between.

I physically jerk every time one goes off.
