How dumb do T and his cronies think his supporters are?

I've been wondering about this for a while, given the lies and spins and whole approach to communications. But this morning's statement by McEnany really took the cake. She said on Fox that “The president was quite energized. I was with him after the rally. It was a huge success. His speech got rave reviews. He was in good spirits on Marine One.”

Even if someone didn't keep up with the scuttlebutt about how he was pissed when his plane flew over the arena, or yelling at his staff because of the small crowd, there were clips of him getting out of the plane and later out of the helicopter. He didn't look energized. He looked worn out, defeated, depressed, like he had just lost his best friend. I actually caught myself feeling bad about seeing somebody -- anybody -- looking like that.

Ok, you can argue that he was tired after a long day. Sure, fine. But in three and a half years we've never seen the guy not have a smug, confident look on his face in front of the cameras. Also the way he was holding the hat. It was crumpled, like was pissed off at it. That's not the persona he likes to portray.

So for McEnany to make that statement, and expect people to accept, it makes me believe the gang thinks their supporters are stupid. It's like being outside on a perfectly clear, sunny Summer day and having someone come up to you and tell you it's snowing and expecting you to believe it. I find that offensive.

[Edit] After reading the first few posts below -- this post isn't about how dumb we think his supporters are, but about how dumb T and company might think his supporters are.

4. It is tough for me to believe they think they are dumber than I think they are, but maybe they do.

And for the record, I think most of them are less intelligent than our close primate relatives such as chimpanzees.

They just know that they don’t care due to either racism, sexism, their warped religious beliefs, their blind following of Republicans or a combination of them all.

Even lower than warranted. So low, in fact, that some of them may consider it insulting. We can only hope.

Stay away from the rally. When their, or loved ones health is at risk, they aren't falling for the con as expected. I find this encouraging. Maybe they'll stay home and not vote!
