If there is one hill on which I am willing to die, it's vote-by-mail

The right to vote must be guaranteed in order that all other rights are ensured. Recent conservative efforts to suppress voting are alarming in the extreme. If I had to choose, mail-in voting is the single-most important issue that deserves attention and effort before the election.

I've got a new iPhone, and a setting must be too restrictive. I opened in a different device and it was fine.

Yes, Congress must take the initiative here.

3. It's not that daunting a task. Right now, 34 states allow voting by mail (including no excuse

absentee voting in many states, and about 5 that only vote by mail).

The other states have absentee voting, but require a "valid" excuse. Most of those could easily decide CV19 is sufficient reason to allow voting absentee.

I've voted by mail for years, but there are risks with voting by mail too. So, oversight is still needed.

Asking trump to show so "PROOF" of all the voter fraud found in Mail in voting! If he can't prove it, he should just shut up.

6. To me risk is some white wing "official" misreporting the tally. But, I am 100% behind mail voting.

We have been voting by mail for years, and I have yet to hear of any "fraud". I also have never heard anyone complain about it. Everyone seems to be glad that we vote by mail. I used to hate standing in line to vote.

7. So, take a previous nonvoter with you to the polls? Early?

If we each had 1000 bodies to sacrifice, it wouldn't add up to one vote.

Way past time for any of us to sit quiet for that contemptible excuse of nonvoters that it doesn't matter and there's no one to vote for. Responding in a way to encourage engagement, of course. But nevertheless refusing it with the contempt it deserves.

And, of course, make sure everyone understands that the Democratic Party is committed to the right to vote by mail. Our job is to create Democratic majorities. No one should fail to know that.

12. Voter suppression and electoral fraud need to be capital offenses

And punishable the same as treason. And it should be public too.

They are worse crimes than treason because they strike at the very heart of our democracy and can endanger our entire planet.

I had my fucking way those two crimes would be named specifically in the Constitution and it would be the two crimes where the punishment would be spelled out in the Constitution. Plus the right to vote would be absolute for every US citizen over the age of 16 without exception. You don't want those judged mentally incompetent choosing leaders well the solution for that is for everyone to get out and vote. Have prisoners polling places designated as the prison they're held at or by mail.
