There's been discussion for awhile now about

Trump having to be dragged out of the White House on Jan 20 because he will refuse to leave.

Some time ago, I believed with certainty that it would never come to that, it would never go that far. I believed that he would leave on his own accord. Now, I'm not so sure.

Him leaving or not leaving willfully on January 20th is not what I am concerned about though.

What is bothering me is Trump refusing to participate in good faith in the transition process between election day and January 20, when Joe Biden becomes our next President. I can't even imagine all of the effort required for a smooth and successful transition for the highest office in the country.

I can't imagine Trump participating in the transition in any kind of normal way. Instead, he will throw tantrums and fuck up anything he can. And I mean anything.

What recourse does an incoming presidency have when/if Trump does this?

12th amendment could be used to elect prez which is ONE vote per state, more GOP states than patriots.

Something about states unable to certify their votes or election forces this, which GOP would do.

I think Pres-elect Biden will have assembled teams of people who worked in the various agencies before who will know how things work and with or without trump team transition help will hit the ground running.

Of course trump will not only NOT help I think he will try to sabotage as much as possible on his way out. Hell he is such a psychopath I could see him setting literal fire to the White House. He is an unhinged sociopath capable of anything.

3. I don't care too much about Dump participating in the transition. What can he add?

He can get in the way as much as he wants, but he doesn't get PDBs, he doesn't read anything, he doesn't know anything, so who cares?

I think the Biden team just has to assume they will take over immediately after the inauguration and will pretty much have to start from scratch. I'm okay with that, considering everything Dump broke over the last 4 years. Let's just assume that Biden goes back to 2016, when President Obama was in office, and scratches everything after that.

6. Spot on. Biden's been there before. He will pick up from 2016 and assemble a team to roll back

everything Agent Orange has done. I don't quite understand the paranoia re: him refusing to go when he loses. All the Biden camp has to do is call the capital police to drag him out, kicking & screaming no doubt.

But ultimately - I think he knows Trump is a fuck up and he has to start over. The entire Presidency has to be set back to Statesman/Woman and Commander in Chief.

Am I wrong to understand that trump admin is funded by Congress to pay for transition? If so, more corruption upon corruption.

inventing it all pretty much from scratch. First task will be rooting out EVERY tRumputin appointee, starting with the ATTORNEY-GENERAL and Secretaries of State and Education! Then fumigating the White House, and airing it out to rid it of the stench of sulphur.

I think OrangeAss will book it to Maralago, leaving his staff in the dust. I don't think he'll show any class at all, and I think he's be as good as out of there as soon as it's obvious that he has lost. The transitioning will be done by the few in the administration who have the ability and decency to carry out what needs to be done.

Or maybe he'll fake bad health and leave.

Whatever the case, I don't see him greeting President and Dr. Biden on the WH steps.

That's my prediction.

Not a problem.

The entire trump administration is filled with sycophants and toadies. Joe Biden will be coming in with professionals who know more than anyone who might “help” in the transition. Biden and team are still entitled to intel briefings.

Every trump appointee should be out, in every agency and all levels. All ambassadors terminated.

The Biden administration will be ready to go at noon on Inauguration Day regardless of what the current administration does or doesn’t do.

and go to merde-lago. He probably thinks that there's no extradition treaty between Florida and
New York. The r's must be crazy to not go to spanky and try to force him out.
Almost any r would do better at the polls (except mcconnell).

There are more than enough security agencies from the Secret Service on down to the DC Police that would have the authority to remove a trespasser.

He hates the job. Does not give a shit about the country or any real governing.

I could see him trying to hold some rallies to boost his ego, but they would quickly fizzle.
