Republican strategists are starting to "panic" and fear a "historic wipeout" in November:

"President Trump's poll numbers have never been worse, and Republicans are starting to panic that he could be headed to a historic wipeout that could drag the rest of the party down with him," Joseph explains. "Trump has trailed former Vice President Joe Biden by almost 10 points in recent national polling. And Republicans privately admit things look just as bad at the local level."

The "privately" part is important. It isn't hard to find Trump allies and GOP strategists who are happy to go on Fox News, put on their best game faces and insist that Trump is headed for landslide reelection. But what Republican strategists tell Laura Ingraham or Sean Hannity at Fox News and what they're really thinking can be two different things, and anonymous sources often speak with a candor that they wouldn't have if their names were attached to a website article or a cable news appearance.

snip..................

Republicans, according to Joseph, are being bombarded by everything from the coronavirus pandemic and the state of the U.S. economy to the George Floyd protests to former National Security Adviser John Bolton's new book — which is highly critical of Trump. The president might turn things around between now and November and win a second term, but one of the Republican strategists Vice interviewed fears that polls might become even worse for Republicans in the months ahead.

"Are we at the bottom or has the bottom not even dropped out yet?," the source told Vice. "I don't know what gets us out of this. People are probably just fucking sick of it."

2. Good but we need to watch them like a hawk so that they don't suppress our votes

We need to camp out to vote. Make sure the media sees people camping out for days to vote and show how serious we are about getting rid of mf45 and the repukes.

5. Suppression vs turnout is our key. For them, distance or get him to shut up

and we all know he ain’t shutting up.

Good article. Really delves into the Senate races.

We are killing it with women voters and have been since Trump’s been in office. The Women’s March was way more important than anyone wants to mention. The networking and turning out for campaigns can’t be understated.

From the article
Republicans say that Trump is getting blown out with independent voters and continues to drop with female voters, with white women who lack college degrees moving away from him. Some have also seen a concerning erosion with senior citizens as well as gen-X voters.

They tried everything to put him away but he’d gamed their media and no one would drop out of the primaries.

The Republicans have gone off the rails with Trump, sold their Soul to this not so bright evil con man. They deserve a long time out.

...which could mean it's a genuine reflection as to what Republican leaders are thinking.

Or it could mean it's just something the author heard from a couple of Republican neighbors.

Over 130 days left to GOTV!

We may have already seen the beginning of them trying to distance themselves. Graham will not vote in a replacement for the SDNY. At least now.

13. +1000 - why isn't the GOP senate distancing itself from Trump now?

- that's the unsettling question. If they thought their seats were at that much risk they'd be running away at the speed of light trying to look moderate and constitutional again.

17. Personal income will collapse after July 31
Tue Jun 23, 2020, 07:49 AM
Jun 2020

The stimulus checks and bonus $600 per week unemployment benefits caused personal income to actually rise 10% in quarter 2, I think I read. People are spending less on gas, eating out, etc. so money in the bank is way up. What will happen next? The $600 per week unemployment benefit which tens of millions get will end July 31. Evictions, foreclosures, car repossessions, credit card cancellations, bankruptcies will surge. Home sales will decline. Commercial construction will stagnate. That will hurt Trumps approval rating. On the other hand job reports will improve. GDP growth will be highly positive. We face a lot of uncertainty. It could be a disaster for Republicans, a total wipeout. Or it could get a bit better.
