(19,066 posts)Lebron is a cultural icon, guy has more influence than many can imagine. Love that he's using his influence for a cause like this and he can make a huge difference.
Lebron has been in the public eye since middle school and he hasn't had 1 moral failing other than the way he left Cleveland the first time wasn't well received. This guy just gets it, he understands what's important as a globally recognized athlete. He's a good family man, works harder than any other player, and is a strong leader.
As a fan I've never liked him because he beat my teams, but as a person, this is an incredible human being.

(29,322 posts)As a basketball fan I was excited. I saw it coming the day before the announcement when Wade & Bosh signed with Miami and Wade was interviewed by ESPNews and he was talking about taking pay cuts & championships. I don't see what he did as much different than leaking the move to the media. Lebron left Miami because they were aging & Cleveland made good draft picks & with the trade for Kevin Love it made sense to go back to Cleveland. The biggest problem I have is he promised 6 championships in Miami and didn't stay to try to win them. Then when he signed with Cleveland he said he would finish his career there.
His move to LA seemed to be influenced by a career in the entertainment industry & he said it was difficult to recruit players to Cleveland.

Great job, Lebron! Please dont shut up and dribble.
