June 23, 2020 at 7:43 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, is undergoing vetting as a candidate to be Joe Bidens running mate, CBS News reports.
It is not immediately clear where Bass stands in the vetting process but her name has been floated for consideration by powerful Democrats like House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC).

She's a Congresswoman from CA. Very sharp, good spokesperson.

Perhaps Biden will choose a running mate that surprises us all. Those who are too much in the forefront will most likely not be chosen.

No disrespect to Tim Kaine. He's a nice guy, but he wasn't a game changer.

We didn't lose because Tim Kaine was on the ticket.
