'Former president Barack Obama headlined his first fundraiser for Joe Biden on Tuesday, at an event that raised $7.6 million for his former vice presidents campaign.
That is the most money raised for at any Biden event this cycle.
With 175,000 donors chipping in, Obama and Biden appeared virtually before thousands of donors,'>>>

(18,402 posts)the discussion between these two men.
It wasnt just a fundraiser, it was an hour and a half of thoughtful discussion on a range of subjects. I feel a little badly that it got so little attention here. We need to stop hanging on to Trumps every word and start posting more about the ideas that are being proposed for the next administration.

(9,651 posts)It was well worth the donation to be able to listen to what Joe Biden and Barack Obama had to say today. It was uplifting, hopeful, and full of the dignity and honor that is sorely lacking in this current Administration.
Someone (troll?) wrote a very divisive thread about the online fundraiser. That thread has since been hidden. But it motivated me to donate again while the fundraiser was going on. So to the person who wrote the divisive thread, I gave more money to Joe because of you!
I hope Joe does more of these online fundraisers. We will have to be his cheerleaders, and get the word out there so that more people on DU will get involved.
