"SNIP.....

Josh Kraushaar: “Right now, it looks more likely that Biden will win a landslide victory, picking up states uncontested by Democrats in recent elections, than it is that Trump can mount a miraculous turnaround in just over four months. Even as Trump tries to advance a law-and-order pitch amid growing violence and tumult in the nation’s cities, it’s unlikely to benefit the president because he’s the leader in charge. The chaos candidate is now the chaos president. Biden is the challenger pledging a return to normalcy.”

“Just look at the swing-state map: Biden is leading in every battleground state, according to the RealClearPolitics polling averages, with the exception of North Carolina where the race is tied. Trump trails by 6 points in the electoral prize of Florida, where the president’s newfound willingness to meet with Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro prompted a fierce backlash and quick White House retreat. He’s down 4 points in Arizona, a state that has only voted for a Democratic presidential candidate once since 1964. He’s not close to hitting even 45 percent of the vote in Michigan, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin—the Midwestern states he flipped to win the presidency.”

“Meanwhile, the Trump campaign is airing ads in Iowa and Ohio, two states he won by near double-digit margins in 2016, as recent polls show Trump in precarious shape in both states.”

I don't want that SOB to be in the WH 4 more years. We cannot be overconfident or complacent because IF we are, there is a chance that fewer people will get out and vote.

I don't see the purpose in the hyperbole. YMMV.

are what the numbers are...I often read here about how we can't get overconfident as our voters will stay home...not true...dejected voters are more likely to stay home...so keeping up enthusiasm by reporting fact sthat look good for us helps us to turn out voters. I have worked elections for years...and that is what I have always seen.

rump is painted in a corner. He must continue to keep his base happy. That doesn't play well with that whatever undecided center-right and wavering Republicans that is left. More GOPers are jumping ship every day. Many are seeing him as way too far right from the mainstream and as a petulant child and con man who is unfit for the office. They no longer have an opposing candidate that was perceived to be a lightning rod in Hillary. They have tried to make Joe into an old fart with a failing memory. This has not worked as I type.

Joe's job is simple; sit back and let the orange menace keep making mistakes and looking like an idiot while showing the urgency of our situation (we can't afford four more years of this)...and vote, vote, vote.

If he can keep the distance at 8-9% most all of the swing states will fall our way, especially if we vote. If it goes beyond 9%, even if he cries 'rigged election' it will be a lost cause to pursue that route.

Actual score: 0 - 0 tie. Keep focus on the mechanics, registering, getting to the correct voting location and voting. If that is all handled for yourself, see if you can help others. If there's time to fight a voter id law in your state, join the fight. If not, help someone comply. What do they need, a ride to the DMV, a small loan or gift of $20 - $50, help gathering documents? Don't forget the down ballot races, losing state houses gave birth to their bullshit voter suppression laws.

Watching TV makes it seem like the campaign and the election are the same thing. I think we all get that and I don't think anyone here will say "We got this" and stay home.

I am feeling better and better about the General Election in November. That said, I don’t trust the GOP to try and they will try to steal the election.

That said, if Tiny Hands loses the election I expect him to resign, Pence be named President during the transition and a full and complete pardon issued to every single person that served in this nightmare. Hope I’m wrong but I’ve learned to not expect anyone in the GOP to act honorable or decent. If Trump loses he will continue to look out for himself. He’ll raid the treasury and waltz out with a get out of jail card. I am so jaded.

justice, I am more concerned with saving this economy and ending the pandemic. My husband and I will lose everything we worked for if this continues. And who knows if we will survive the pandemic. Many here are on Social Security so perhaps they are insulated from the terrible economy. But we are not. The extra 600 has helped and we have some savings. But we lost money in 08 and now this...so getting rid of Trump and putting this country back together is the most important thing to me and I would guess many other Americans.

And you are correct, recovery from this clown is paramount. Nothing I posted takes away from any of that. But I’m like many Americans, would like to see Trump punished. First because he deserves it but second, send a message to any asswipe in the future wants to try this. We need a sign we are a nation of good and justice for all.

to save this country...we have two years until the next election...last time we lost the house....we need to send help ASAP which will involve ending the filibuster and massive jobs programs...health care. I believe Joe Biden will be the Roosevelt of our time...send help to a desperate population. Already people here are going hungry...it will get worse.
