"trump is the Rod Stewrt of Politicians"

This comparison has been making the rounds on Twitter over night. It's bad enough that he keeps stealing their music to play at his rallies. Now they are trying to latch on to their personas too.

It isn't going over all that well:

The Stones still play Satisfaction, don't they?
He also has had MANY other huge hits.
Courtney Jay's tweet is spot on.

How dare she compare drumpf to Stewart. Is Stewart corpulent, totally self-indulgent, kills others for fun and profit, worst person in the world - fuck no. Does drumpf have even 1/2 smidgen of talent or intelligence or humanity - again - fuck no. Stewart I would put at a 7 on the scale of lifetime positive accomplishments and contributions while drumpf is a minus. So glad I cancelled my subscription to NYT.

Rod was a kick-ass rocker who went through a regrettable disco phase and then mellowed into an easy-listening balladeer as he got older.

In other words, he changed and adapted with the times.

(I think Maggie is probably carrying around some sort of unreasonable, probably name-related, grudge against Rod.)

His collection of old songs, especially from the 40’s era is so nice to listen to. I never think of Maggie May when I think of Rod Stewart. Why did she choose to get bitchy on him?

I could listen to Maggie May repeatedly but cannot stand one second of trump’s “greatest hits” !!! Unfair to Rod.

quoted. I had to read through a lot of comments to find this out!

And I agree it’s a terrible analogy. I’m not even a Rod fan but I can name at least a dozen songs I would like to hear if I went to a concert—such as “People Get Ready.”

The NYT pushed the Clinton e-mail story and Ken Vogel was pushing the Biden Ukraine story when no real paper was paying attention to this story I have a subscription to the Washington Post and I will never subscribe to the NYT
