He got off for lying to the FBI. Still unknown, and requiring investigation, is his involvement with Turkey. If we have a Democratically controlled Congress that is aware of its place in history, it will be more concerned about accountability and re-stabilization, than it will be about moving forward on a cracked foundation created by Trump's bad decisions.

Part of a “deal” in the criminal justice system is “I can lock you up for life. But since you will help us you are just getting a slap on the wrist”.

So Flynn is fighting the slap on the wrist but if he back out of that, doesn’t he open himself back up to the major charges????

And, the "deal" that he had with the FBI, fell through.

And the best part of all is, that I don't think that Trump can pardon him, if he doesn't get sentenced. So, in some ways, this new bit of news just gives him half a year of freedom.

You know, Democrats never challenge the moves made by Republicans. Maybe it's time to revisit if that was even constitutionally possible.

BTW, wasn't that pardon another recommendation from Barr?

instituted massive corruption. Corruption means they win, everyone not a member of their cabal loses.

“What is spreading today is repressive kleptocracy, led by rulers motivated by greed rather than by the deranged idealism of Hitler or Stalin or Mao. Such rulers rely less on terror and more on rule twisting, the manipulation of information, and the co-option of elites.

Their goal is self-enrichment; the corrosion of the rule of law is the necessary means. As a shrewd local observer explained to me on a visit to Hungary in early 2016, “The main benefit of controlling a modern bureaucratic state is not the power to persecute the innocent. It is the power to protect the guilty.” ~ Ex-Republican insider David Frum

I’m trying to put myself in Flynn’s shoes. If major charges were held back and I know they are coming now, why the HELL would I have gone through all this bullshit of getting Barr to dismiss my lying guilt plea?

It doesn’t make any sense for Flynn to do that unless he KNOWS nothing else is coming.

if it ever got to that.

But high five to Judge Sullivan for creating a very clear and strong record of the wrongdoing that we can all see. And the case can still be sent to an en banc panel for rehearing by the full circuit court. And the DC circuit is not dominated by Trump appointees - yet.

Flynn may still walk in the end but this isn't the end of the story.
