This has been so badly managed. And it appears that it will continue to be so.

Just look at Brazil, which the WHO is already calling "the pandemic's worst case scenario", and that is a title nobody should have!

Also yes, please take Trump with the pandemic!

Certainly more so than the Stockholm Syndrome some here are developing.

Those are big crowds, breathing heavily, and a lot of folks cannot or will not mask when running. I tried with masks a few times at the beginning, but it just doesn't work for me. I've taken to running in the street and less-used paths and off-peak times of day. Can't imagine doing a race in these conditions.

Chicago has still not canceled, but I imagine that announcement will come soon on the heels of NYC canceling.

It provides some protection for others since you're expelling mostly into the fabric, but since the bottom is open it is easier to breathe.

I use something similar for riding my bike.

Even for middle pack runners like myself, a helluva a lot of planning is needed. And the elite runners are a whole nother issue.

Damn shame, but probably the right decision.

Should have stuck it out on applications. After 2 years you’re guaranteed year 3. But then I found out I ran a marathon on a broken leg (stress fracture) so I had months rehabbing it.

I'm signed up to do Philly, which is smaller, but I can't imagine a way that it's also not cancelled.
