(26,262 posts)Avuncular, funny, smart, trustworthy, ethical, comforting, capable and caring. Part of the reason why, 20 years after his death, his former students and football players still love sharing stories, with me, about their lovely memories of him.

(14,564 posts)He was not my first pick, as with JS he was about 4th (Pete & EW top 2).
But, I always contended to those who dismissed Joe that he would have real appeal.
As things continue to evolve that is more true.
He is a genuinely decent human being and frankly the positive mirror image of the lunatic.
Same agish, a bit rough around the edges, but in this case someone who is kind, decent, humble.
To an extent C-19 has been a favor to him on two fronts. It has exposed at a more intense level that 45 has absolutely no concern for anyone other than himself, much less doing the job he was elected to. But, it has hand cuffed him from going after Joe.
All Joe has had to two for months now is just be a decent human being and let the focus be on the jackass.

(56,828 posts)but, I didn't see anybody else that made it to the primaries- Warren, Sanders, Buttigieg, Klobuchar, etc - that would turn out the African American vote. Sanders made inroads with Hispanic voters, but until they turn out to vote at percentages like white voters and black voters, it's not quite enough. (white & black voters are over 80% of registered voters actually vote, while Hispanic & Asian voters are a little bit under 60% of registered voters)
Plus, he's a good guy
