I have not seen this on DU yet. Police abuse innocent black man and break his ribs.

Usually I get ferociously angry when I see these types of videos. This one just made me cry.

Synopsis: Police throw innocent black man to the ground because of a case of mistaken identity, apparently. The guy was just standing there waiting for his sister to pick him up. Apparently there was another black guy in in the area that they wanted to investigate for a panhandling issue. (OOOOOOOOO....a PANDHANDLING ISSUE)

They broke the man's ribs, causing him to sob in pain and terror. They held him in a bear hug from behind while telling him to put his hands behind his back (impossible). Between the rib injury and the mental trauma, this man will never be the same.

The video is not overly graphic in the traditional sense, but it causes you to gasp at the humiliation this man felt. I will not comment further, except that I watched it last evening, formed some strong opinions, and have continued to ruminate about this. Video is inside the article.

It's the plantation mentality.

Those cops should be thrown in a prison so deep, they'd need a periscope to see out...

The incident happened in February. The update is that the man is now suing.

I hope the police are arrested for aggravated assault.
