39. I am 62 y.o., a trucker, and have had to physically defend myself twice from MAGAt's

4-5 years ago I was threatened with a hand gun INSIDE a Wyoming T/A truck stop by a fucking asshole who insisted in front of 5 other men, that he had a constitutional right to kill me because, “I’m a liberal Califaggatian”.

I dared him to try, and the only reason I’m still here is because he wasn’t either fired up enough, or wasn’t drunk enough.

About six months ago I decided that I’m not going gently into the night, and decided to arm myself.

I bought a “bullpup” shotgun months ago even though that model was on a waiting list, and the local shop would not even guess when they would receive delivery. It came in a few weeks ago.

Last week I had to put my truck into a shop for maintenance and took advantage of the cheap flights and sort of came home (I wore a mask around my wife and slept in a hotel) for two days. This was only the second time I’ve been home since late January.

One of the things I had on my list was to take my fire arms safety course, and to complete my background check.

This is a “bullpup” shotgun legal in all 50 states, I’m done hoping for luck the next time an asshole racist threatens me.

These traitors are getting worst, and will come out of the woodwork when Shitler beckons.

I’ve never stood by passively in the face of threats, and I will respond in kind next time my life is legitimately, physically threatened.

40. I'm southern, middle aged and a gun owning hunter.

At least in their South their is a 300 year fear of Black gun ownership going back to Nat Turner’s rebellion and probably earlier. In school I leaned about the rebellion and the slant of the rebellion was negative. Still remember when the African American female students asked the teacher why was it bad for a slave to try to fight for his freedom. This teacher was old enough that he had taught in segregated schools and it was obvious the question rattled him. He shut down the discussion. This was in 11th grade in 1982 in Arkansas.

I don’t own any of the black guns like AKs, ARs or the shotgun in the post above mine. Just regular hunting gun like my grandfather owned. Hell, he owned 2 of them and they still are great in the field.

But is I were a black person in the south I would be armed like the RW crazies. But I agree with some of the posts above, I would probably increase the odds of firearm laws.
