My younger son is going through Special Forces training right now.
I told him not to do this kind of thing. No politics in the army.

Glad he is waking up - but neither women nor minorities have been able to accept rides from strangers without fear anytime in the 6+ decades I've been alive.

To some racists that response would have resulted in an attack.
I think he was trying to teach him, wake him up to living while black in the US.
I don't think this life-moment will ever be forgotten by that soldier.
