The 40,000 COVID-19 cases (in one day) are a marker.

The last time we were at that level was at the very end of April, about the same time as we passed the 58,000 deaths mark, which seemed significant at the time?

But how can we know if we are improving or getting worse? There needs to be more testing. That is what knowledgeable people are saying.

Of course, Trump says that they are testing more so they can get more cases. It's always been like a conspiracy somewhere in his mind? Someone is conspiring to make him look bad?

We need to hear from the experts.

The virus had a big rally in the bottom of the third.
We need to keep the ball down and make sure our fundamentals are strong.

The best way to know how bad it is will be hospital capacity compared to admissions.as the hospitalizations increase with no plans for army corps of engineers MASH type units, we will watch what happened to Italy happen here.

As long as covidiots refuse to wear masks, restaurants are open, and people's stir crazy trumps their fear of dying, then those hospitalizations will get worse and many, many more people will die. This spike continuation will likely make the first 100,000 look small.

And it makes me want to cry to write "the first" when I am talking about so many lives needlessly thrown away over greed, incompetence, and narcissism.

Trump needs to stop dividing the people during an pandemic and begin to set an example to follow or we cannot heal.

We have to be united in this struggle.

Trumpy pounds his message of denial to his loyal flock. Go about your business without masks. Gee, no fault there.
Pence is praying, praying, praying away the virus. and gay marriage. and science. and common sense. What could possibly go wrong?
Dr Birx rejected the WHO's testing, part of why we got a late start on that.
Dr Fauci helplessly facepalms and implores the heavens at the above.
Robert Redfield largely has been silenced, ignored into veritable inaction.
Alex Azar's hands were tied until he convinced idiot Trumpy to enact the defense production act.
Dr Adams, surgeon general continues the fight to get Americans to wash their damn hands, wear masks all against the WH messages of denial.
Stephen Hahn's uphill battle to increase testing against the Trumpy Tide to slow it down.
Kushner's insistence it is all just a public relations problem, oh yes, no problem there. Just call it "the chinese virus".
Nancy Messonier's message in February that this could turn into a severe problem, muffled, rendered silence by the WH powers.
Sure, no issue here, move on.

What, what could possibly go wrong with all that?
