I know everyone here is gleeful reading trumps

low poll numbers and recent failures but let's not be fooled come November. I never thought he would come close to winning the 1st time and still am befuddled how it happened. So many stories about landslide victory for Biden might cause lower voter turnout and we need every vote we can get not just for president but all the way down ballot. These stories may be another way these scumbags get low turnout so vote like we're behind . I trust nothing after 2016.

Its a shame the USA has fractured federal elections run by state laws that can upset the balance.

Not to mention a stacked SCOTUS deciding when to stop counting results.

...Trump has appointed a big donor goon as Postmaster General. He has ZERO qualifications except being a big Trump donor. Trump will be giving him orders as to how to handle those mailed-in ballots. He openly admitted it by accusing Democrats and voters of it - you KNOW he projects. His projections are ALWAYS tell on his own guilt - he's telling people what HE would do, is doing, or plans to do.

They did that in my district in NC. They went around taking people's absentee ballots and saying they would be sure they counted, then did not do what they said. NC did find them guilty of doing it, but did very little to them about it. The state just re-ran the election and the Republicans got to pick all new people to run on top of it. So, they really got rewarded for that. Now, they know they can do it and won't get punished. They will continue to do these things as long as they are not getting punished for it. So, even if we turn out in droves to defeat Trump, watch the Republicans, because they will be cheating. You can take that to the bank. They WILL be cheating in every state.

Lull people into thinking we have this in the bag. Combine that with a fear of Covid and they are banking on low voter turn out. Closer numbers makes it easier to cheat. We have to attack this like we are down by 20 points.

Americans should be out in the streets in massive numbers, like the recent BLM protests. If police brutality and racism can bring out millions of angry citizens, why not the well-orchestrated effort by Republicans to destroy our democratic electoral process?

This country is that fucking stupid now. Told people that when they were mocking him when he came down the escalator.

That said, the goal is not just to win, as others have noted it is to beat him by by such a large margin he does not have enough room to try to contest it AND to have as massive of a turnover of Rs at every level of government as possible.

We need that mandate comes with a complete whipeout - to shut them up for a day at least and to enable us to try to start to piece american democracy back together again.

I am not particularly worried about complacency vs wanting to see and note the big margins for a number of reasons.

1) take as much of the bravado these assholes have out of them as possible.
2) get that momentum that builds, like in a football or basketball game. It is good for our moral and confidence vs the usual scared of our own shadows Ds normally have.
3) Finally, the bigger the margin the more the "middle" will break our way. He will look weaker and more impotent.

landslide. Win by the largest landslide in the past century if not history. Eliminate all cause for doubt! Including in every possible Senate race.

Trump didn’t win in 2016. We all know that or should. And look where we’ve been these past 42 months — in bizarro land, then the twilight zone and now hell. Five-plus months and counting. It’s only going to get worse from here. He and the entire GOP are in deep trouble. They are going to get increasingly desperate and are going to double and triple down on what has worked for them in the past — voter suppression, vote rigging, and wagging the dog.

The maps offered by pundits and prognosticators 4 years ago at this time were even more overwhelmingly in favor of Clinton than they are for Biden at the moment. I looked because someone on Facebook had posted an analysis giving Biden around 330 electoral votes. I Googled electoral projections published during June 2016 and those ranged from about 350-380 EV for Clinton.

Take nothing for granted!
