I also fully expect to be entertained in the coming months by reports of what other hand motions it misreads as hand washing.

I was trimming shrubs the other day and kept having to reassure the watch that I hadn’t fallen.

Bring up the Control Center on your ??Apple Watch??: Swipe up on a watch face, or when in an app, press the bottom edge of the screen then drag up ...

Tap the Water Lock icon (it looks like a water droplet).

When you're back in a dry environment, turn the Digital Crown to unlock the screen and clear water from the speaker.
