Unless they're caught committing a crime or high misdemeanor, we'd never get a majority of the House and definitely not 2/3 of the Senate to go along.

They removed it for all presidential appointees and judicial nominees except SCOTUS. McConnell removed the last of it strand of it a few years ago, that still allowed it for SCOTUS nominees.

Saves on administrative costs and gets health coverage for more people who do not have coverage under Republican governors. The federal government already pays a significant portion of Medicaid costs. Also lower the age for Medicare to 55.

There are other high priorities to address like climate change, systemic racism, economic inequality and education reform, and yes, statehood for DC - but we have to have fair voting to stay in power for the people. The autocracy has been in power too long.
