Often the woman tries to intimidate a black person by calling the cops, or threatening to do so. The way it typically goes is that the black person films it on their cell phone and posts it online, then Karen is identified and punished for being a narrow minded racist.

Karen: A person, usually white, who weaponizes their privilege against a non-white person. Though white males may be occasionally referred to as a "Karen", the term is usually reserved for white females who behave in this manner. White males who weaponize their privilege are usually referred to as "Chad", "Ian", "Ken", or "Biff".

Briefly, it started out as shorthand for a privileged middle-aged white woman who was caught on video bossing people around over unimportant matters. I've always thought of "Karen" as the homeowner's association board member who threatened to fine you because you were growing hydrangeas instead of peonies. Recently "Karen" has come to refer more specifically to a privileged, bossy white woman who was caught on video hassling or calling the police on a black person for no good reason.

Karens are pissed that they are being called Dicks, so they 'Karen" up a bunch of threads about how you're a Dick if you use 'Karen'.

I'm sure there is a reason to "OK, Boomer" a bunch of these threads but. meh, who cares?
