AFTER being told this...So if you support rump you are KILLING OUR SOLDIERS
The Trump administration has been deliberating for months about what to do about a stunning intelligence assessment.
If about any dem, hell if about most repubs, INSTANT impeachment.

AFTER is an important distinction.

(2,771 posts)is what Republicans tell us about the Putin-Trump relationship. Yet his many actions tell us differently. I wish the election were tomorrow. I cant stand him being in office one single day more.

(9,670 posts)To hell with propriety. To hell with precedent. To hell with civility.
But mainly, TO HELL WITH TRUMP.
Who cares how close we are to an election. Let the impeachment trial be a referendum on his fitness for office; in light of the facts presented by the House of Representatives, how worthy is this man of re-election?
Instead of staged debates or canned media soundbites, let's put the fucker on trial.
The GOP is not expecting it.

(17,912 posts)I guess the old adage....elect a clown, get a circus....is really coming home to roost. The Covid-19 debacle that just keeps on keeping on, causing an 1930's era economic crash due to his mind blowing incompetence. The whole BLM protest debacle with NG and active duty military. And now this. Spin your way out of this one, trump trash. The Sunday morning shows are gonna be great fun this weekend.

THEY need to open the flood gates now as this country is in a horrible way. Names, verification, all of it. Let's go! It is time....
Who the hell are these officials?

(443 posts)At that point launch investigations and turn over every rock and make the GOP squirm, if they even exist at that point, and throw the clown in jail. The goal is not victory. The goal is to absolutely destroy and discredit the GOP and their embrace of trumperism so completely they are discredited forever. If we fail at this because of infighting petty squabbles and he loses but it is close, he will try to discredit the results to launch his fascist media network and it will be a problem. F that. Crush him. Destroy him. End this scourge. In 5 years I want nobody admitting they supported trump.

(11,566 posts)The Republican Party is rife with them. As for polls, it depends on the statistical sample. Hard to say how truly accurate some of them are. However, its disheartening to see how many truly awful Americans there are.

(31,109 posts)And she didnt lose because of that, she had the election stolen from her because it was close enough to steal BECAUSE the GOP and many on the left pounded her with LIES for years.
I know, I changed the subject a bit.
But think about it, all over social media and message boards BEFORE the election were the constant BASHINGS of her.
To the point that some said they would "hold their nose" to vote for her and just Friday I had to STOMACH watching a progressive REPEAT that garbage during the Randi Rhodes show.
NONE of this had to happen.
The courts would NOT be filled with rightwing assholes who are planning on ending ALL rights for everyone but themselves.
I could go on
and on

and on
and on
But she gave ONE speech so we CANT TRUST HER

(11,566 posts)Sexism and misogyny are as deeply ingrained in our culture as racism. American women are still denied equal civil rights. Thats why I think Biden choosing a woman of color as a running mate might be premature. Sexism & misogyny run so deep that even a white woman who won the presidential election by 4 million votes wasnt permitted to take office. As for a woman of color VP going on to win a general election, the sad truth is as a country were just not there yet, although I hope we get to that place soon. Joe Biden has said he will only serve one term. It will take many Democratic terms to begin to unwind the deep damage done by Trump & the Republicans. We need a VP who can win a general election. I got a little sidetracked here, myself.
Eliot Rosewater
(31,109 posts)I think you are, respectfully, wrong...but it really doesnt matter...
KGB or they now call themselves GRU will knock out our internet and cell structure, to one extent or another (or try, count on it)...
GOP will prevent MILLIONS of patriots from voting, 90% of them will want to vote Democratic ticket but will not be allowed to or if they do vote their vote will NOT be counted.
We can still win in the face of that, but it is a struggle.

(11,566 posts)I hope whomever he chooses is very successful, no matter their race. I was a huge Hillary fan and was devastated when the election was stolen from her and I would dearly love a woman VP or president. I just think we have far to go as a country not just in matters of race, but gender, too. The gender issues gets swept aside far too often, in my view. I just read today where there are only 6 countries in the entire world where women have equal civil rights (and the US and Canada were not on the list). My point was a candidate having to overcome both race and gender issues may realistically be a bridge too far, given todays political realities.
